The Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) is the oldest and the largest technical university in Poland, founded in 1826 as the Preparatory School for the Institute of Technology. It was transformed into the Warsaw University of Technology in 1915, after Poland regained its independence. WUT has been consistently ranked as the best technical university in Poland and one of the top technical universities in Europe.
