The Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Production Engineering at Silesian University of Technology is an engineering program designed for students who want to study production systems, business management, industrial processes, quality management, logistics, production planning and industrial design. The program is suitable for students who plan to study engineering in Poland and build a career in production, management, logistics, quality control or industrial enterprises.
The program lasts 7 semesters / 3.5 years and is offered as first-cycle full-time studies. Graduates receive the title of Engineer. The curriculum aims to provide students with both technical engineering knowledge and management skills. For this reason, the program prepares graduates who can evaluate production processes not only from a technical perspective, but also in terms of management, efficiency, cost, quality and organization.
During the program, students gain knowledge in the fundamentals of business management, modern management techniques, production systems, production quality assurance systems, production planning, process improvement, logistics systems, supply chain management, inventory and transport management, quality control, production project management and the functioning of modern industrial enterprises.
Students develop skills in designing production processes, optimizing production processes, applying engineering methods to production and distribution processes, solving logistics tasks and analyzing management problems in enterprises. The study process supports students in making both technical and economic decisions and developing efficiency-oriented solutions in production environments.
The listed specializations include Reverse Engineering with Elements of Industrial Design, Organization of Production and Logistics, and Managing a Production Company. These paths allow students to deepen their knowledge in production, logistics, design, quality and business management according to their interests.
Reverse Engineering with Elements of Industrial Design focuses on 3D design, product quality control, industrial design, reconstruction of physical objects and the development of innovative products using modern manufacturing methods.
Organization of Production and Logistics covers the design of production systems, improvement of production processes, operation of logistics systems, supply chain management, development of logistics customer service and the planning of supply, production and distribution processes.
Managing a Production Company focuses on company management at strategic, tactical and operational levels, including the management of human, material, financial and information resources, process management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Graduates may pursue careers in production enterprises, logistics centers, transport and distribution companies, industrial organizations, quality control departments, production planning units, technical and economic consulting companies, engineering offices and production management roles. They may work as process managers, production planning specialists, quality control specialists, logistics specialists, production company managers or industrial process consultants.
