Stage Design

The Department of Stage Design offers full-time first-cycle studies (BA 3 years) and full-time second-cycle studies (MA 2 years). The department consists of three stage design studios: Stage Design Studio I, Studio of Theatrical Phenomena, and Studio of the Architecture of Spectacle. The curriculum of each studio emphasizes creativity and includes interdisciplinary research, project, and artistic activities aimed at shaping the visual identity of the stage and its surroundings. Students learn to design for actors and occasional spaces such as outdoor theatre, television studio, exhibitions, shows, festivals, and parades.

The Department of Fashion Design, also part of the faculty, is composed of three studios: Clothing Design Studio, Unique Fashion Design Studio, and Theater Costume Studio. Students can select different studios each year and have the opportunity to attend art studios operating at other faculties of the university. The department collaborates with theaters where students gain practical knowledge by working as assistants to stage and costume designers.

The curriculum for Stage Design students includes theoretical and practical courses in design communication techniques and specialized software. Students have the opportunity to select their main faculty studio and two supplementary studios to enhance their individual development of artistic and design personalities. The department also organizes exhibitions of students' works, open-air workshops, and professional internships to provide practical experience and industry exposure.
