The Akademia Ekonomiczno-Humanistyczna w Warszawie is a higher education institution in Poland that offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, including the Smart City Society program under the field of Political Science. This program is designed to equip students with both technical and social knowledge necessary for understanding the development and functioning of modern metropolises, and to enable them to make a real impact on the development of the metropolis.
The Smart City Society program is an undergraduate program that lasts for three years (6 semesters) and awards 180 ECTS credits, culminating in the award of a professional bachelor's degree. The program is available both full-time and online, and is taught in both Polish and English languages.
The program is designed for individuals who are interested in understanding the changes occurring in urban agglomerations, and are not alien to modern technologies. Upon graduation, students can pursue careers as specialists in central offices, companies specializing in promotion, advertising and city events, as well as in all entities providing services based on modern technologies for urban communities.
During the first year of study, students are introduced to subjects that provide broad horizons of thinking and understanding of concepts and basic issues in political science. From the second semester, the classes introduce more and more detailed content specific to the Smart City Society program. The program covers issues related to the understanding and practical use of knowledge in the field of political science in various spheres of social activity and international cooperation. Students will gain knowledge and skills that will help them find themselves in many different professions and prepare to undertake interdisciplinary projects, which is particularly important and valued on the labor market today.
