Public Policy Design

The Public Policy Design (PPD) program at SWPS University is an excellent opportunity for students interested in developing innovative solutions to the challenges faced by our communities. As a leading teaching and research center in political science and psychology, we provide students with the latest theories and research insights to tackle real-life policy problems.

During the program, students will learn about the policy design process, which includes data-driven problem analysis, creative solution development, and rigorous testing of effective strategies. Students will develop critical skills in five areas that are essential for professional policy designers: a holistic perspective, behavioral insights, collaboration, evidence-based decision-making, and digital proficiency. These skills will help them understand megatrends and innovations that shape our societies, recognize different types of policy problems, and anticipate development opportunities. They will also learn to design user-friendly solutions based on psychological insights, establish partnerships between different sectors and interest groups, conduct high-quality research, and use emerging technologies effectively.

The program is suitable for candidates who are interested in creating public solutions, improvements, and conditions that matter for developing our democratic societies. Ideally, candidates should hold undergraduate degrees in social sciences, political science, psychology, law, or related fields. English proficiency at the B2 level or higher is required.
