The Master’s degree programme in Automatic Control and Robotics at Poznan University of Technology is an interdisciplinary second-cycle programme designed for students who want to specialize in autonomous systems, intelligent control, robotics, aerospace systems and decision-making technologies. The Smart Aerospace and Autonomous Systems specialization provides students with a strong foundation in intelligent and autonomous aerospace systems and terrestrial robotics. The programme allows students to gain practical experience during project implementation and develop advanced knowledge in control, navigation, surveillance and decision-making systems for autonomous unmanned systems, ground vehicles and aerospace applications.
The curriculum focuses on modelling, simulation, experimental research, levels of autonomy, control integration, decision-making systems, elements of artificial intelligence, mission planning, trajectory generation, tracking and communication. Students learn how to analyse complex engineering problems and develop solutions for autonomous and intelligent systems used in modern technology sectors.
The programme also enables students to acquire knowledge and skills through cooperation in international academic teams. This gives students the opportunity to work in a global engineering environment and develop competences that are relevant for research, development and industrial applications. The study process combines theoretical knowledge with practical project-based experience.
This programme is suitable for candidates with a background in automatic control, robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, aerospace systems or related technical fields. Students are expected to have analytical thinking skills, an interest in mathematical and technical problem solving, openness to experimental research and motivation to develop expertise in autonomous systems.
Internships and practical training opportunities are also part of the study experience. Students may have the possibility to prepare their diploma thesis as part of a traineeship completed abroad.
