The Law and International Security bachelor’s programme at Lazarski University is an English-taught interdisciplinary programme that combines law, security, international politics, information analysis and new technologies. The programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to act effectively in today’s complex, fast-changing and crisis-driven global environment.
The programme is taught in English and lasts 3 years. Law and International Security combines legal education with security studies. As a result, students not only learn legal rules but also understand how they operate in real crises, geopolitical tensions, security threats and rapidly evolving technological environments.
The curriculum covers public international law, European Union law, human rights law, law of armed conflict, sanctions, financial security, global markets, disinformation, cyber threats, contemporary conflicts, terrorism, migration, economic sanctions, great power rivalry and international security. Students also develop practical skills in open-source intelligence (OSINT), forecasting, risk mapping, early warning systems, data analysis, crisis scenarios and strategic decision-making.
One of the programme’s key strengths is its practical approach, which connects law with real-life situations. Students apply legal knowledge to conflicts, crises and security risks. They work in the OSINT Lab to verify information, develop forecasting and scenario-building skills in the Forecasting Lab, and strengthen their ability to work under pressure through negotiation simulations and crisis-room decision-making games.
The programme offers two specialisation paths:
Graduates may pursue career opportunities in public administration, EU institutions, international organisations, security services, global companies, media, think tanks, crisis management, compliance and risk analysis. For students who want to study law and international security in English in Poland, Lazarski University offers a strong option with its , interdisciplinary structure and focus on hands-on skills such as open-source intelligence, forecasting and crisis decision-making.
