International Relations and Public Diplomacy (IR-PUB) is a two-year full-time double degree program offered jointly by Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and the University of Siena in Italy. The program is designed to provide students with a multi-level understanding of international relations and state activities in the external sphere. It also focuses on developing skills and knowledge related to the importance of public diplomacy, both at the global and regional levels, as well as in state and non-governmental organizations.
The program is implemented within the framework and with financial support of the Katamaran program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange, which is part of the Knowledge-Education-Development Operational Program: POWER.
As a part of the double degree program, students will complete two semesters of study at Jagiellonian University in Krakow and two semesters at the University of Siena. The University of Siena is one of the oldest universities in the world, located in the Tuscany region of Italy, and is recognized as a major academic research center.
The Faculty of International and Political Studies at Jagiellonian University is widely recognized for its research on areas and countries, politics, international relations, and intercultural studies. The University has many international partners, and students benefit from various forms of study exchange, shared virtual classrooms, visits of guest professors, and many other aspects of international co-operation.
The IR-PUB program is taught in English, and upon completion, students are awarded a Magister degree, which is equivalent to a Master’s degree. The program is open to students with a general academic profile, and it is accredited by the Polish Accreditation Committee and the Committee for the Evaluation of Scientific Units.
