Description

The joint Master's degree programme in International Relations offered by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, in collaboration with Masaryk University, University of Pecs, and Matej Bel University, is a full-time, two-year programme taught entirely in English. The programme provides a unique opportunity for students to study international relations, European politics, economy, society, and culture from the perspective of the Visegrad region.

The experienced faculty of the leading universities from the Visegrad region, as well as visiting professors and guest lecturers from renowned international academic and diplomatic institutions, provide insightful and inspiring instruction about major developments in contemporary international law, economics, politics, and culture in light of the European integration processes seen from the standpoint of the Visegrad region. Students spend each semester at each partner university, giving them a chance to experience different cultures and academic environments.

The programme is run by the VNDREAM Consortium, which aims to spur co-operation and the exchange of best practices in the academic fields of international relations and European studies in the Visegrad region. Scholarships in the form of Visegrad grants, awarded by the International Visegrad Fund, are available to the best-ranked students enrolled in the programme each academic year.

The Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University is the most international and interdisciplinary unit, offering unique programmes conducted in English, many of which are delivered under agreements with foreign universities. The Faculty's complex structure reflects the diversity of scientific research conducted in this unit. Students have an opportunity to study among specialists dealing with matters from almost every corner of the globe, creating a nationally and culturally diverse environment for them to learn and grow.

The Faculty of International and Political Studies has been granted a Category A ranking by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, which is a testament to its excellence in academic and research fields.

Time spent at the university is not all about education and class participation; it is also an excellent opportunity to develop hobbies and interests. Many research societies and student organizations operate at the Jagiellonian University, including faculty- and university-wide ones. These societies allow students to spend their free time actively, gain knowledge, develop their talents, participate in engaging, unconventional projects, go on research and team-building trips, participate in conferences, and meet fellow students outside the lecture halls. There are many student associations at the Faculty of International and Political Studies.

Students interested in the international dimension of studying can participate in a wide variety of exchange programmes, such as Erasmus+, CEEPUS, Utrecht Network, bilateral exchange programmes, European university Una Europa, or the domestic mobility programme called MOST
