International and Political Studies

The Master's Programme in International Gender Studies is designed to equip graduates with a comprehensive understanding of key concepts and practices related to gender issues, with a focus on international organizations, human rights, minority policies, and the role of mass media in shaping socio-political life. Through exposure to a range of contemporary gender theories and theoretical perspectives, graduates are able to engage in critical analysis and evaluation of different viewpoints and empirical evidence, and are recognized as experts in equal opportunity policies and practices.

With particular emphasis on European Commission policies, graduates are prepared to apply this knowledge to the Polish context, and to contribute to the development of projects funded by the European Community. Furthermore, the programme includes practical coaching in applying for work at the European Commission, making graduates highly qualified candidates for positions within this institution.

Given their fluency in English and ability to synthesize knowledge from diverse fields, graduates of the programme are well-suited for employment in media and other institutions focused on socio-cultural issues. They are able to provide valuable insights and perspectives on issues related to gender and diversity, and are recognized for their ability to think critically and approach problems from a reasoned and coherent standpoint.
