Green Energy

The Master’s degree programme in Green Energy at Poznan University of Technology is an advanced second-cycle programme designed for students who want to gain expertise in sustainable development, renewable energy, energy systems, environmental protection and electrical power engineering. The programme is offered by the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy. It is a full-time programme taught in English and lasts 3 semesters. Graduates receive a Master of Science degree.

The Green Energy programme was created for students who want to develop engineering-specific expertise that meets the needs of sustainable development and the growing importance of environmentally responsible energy solutions. The programme combines ecological, technical, economic and environmental aspects related to the production, transmission, distribution, use and management of energy. Students gain a strong engineering foundation in renewable energy sources and modern energy systems.

Teaching is based on technical knowledge in power engineering, thermal technology, economics and environmental engineering. The first semester is partly intended to improve basic knowledge in the field of green energy, especially for candidates who studied abroad or who completed first-cycle studies in fields other than energy, electrical engineering, heating or environmental engineering. This helps students reach the required academic standards and continue the master’s programme with a solid foundation.

During the programme, students gain knowledge and skills in green and renewable energy, environmental protection, electrical power engineering, energy systems management, sustainable energy production, energy conversion and energy distribution. The study process aims not only to develop technical expertise but also to help students evaluate environmental, economic and social aspects of energy systems.

The Green Energy master’s programme prepares students to lead green transformation within energy systems. Graduates are equipped to work in companies operating in the generation, processing, distribution and management of energy.
