The Faculty of Economics and Management offers a Master in Finance programme that is designed for students who want to explore the world of finance. This full-time degree programme is taught in English and is run according to global financial standards. It includes basic courses such as business strategy, analysis of financial instruments, advanced corporate finance, portfolio management, advanced financial reporting, taxation, monetary policy, and financial stability. In addition to these core courses, the programme offers two specializations: Financial Data Scientist and Advanced Financial Management.
The Financial Data Scientist specialization teaches students how to apply technology to real-world data science problems, helps fintech solve various business problems quickly, and provides them with knowledge of common data science use cases for fintechs. The specialization covers topics such as risk management and hedge fund accounting.
The Advanced Financial Management specialization focuses on advanced concepts in financial management, financial decision making, complex strategic financial issues, and quantitative and qualitative management tools. Graduates of the Master in Finance programme have advanced professional knowledge in the areas of finance, financial risk management, and financial decision making. They can deeply analyze the financial condition of a company or household, identify, measure, and manage risks in financial institutions, companies, public institutions, and households. They can also analyze data using tools of artificial intelligence and quantitative methods. After completing the programme, graduates can pass CFA, CIMA, and ACCA exams and are prepared to work in top positions in financial institutions, financial departments of companies, and multinational companies, including working abroad.
The Master in Finance programme is taught by both Polish and international professors and lecturers, and the courses are chosen by international students. The programme is advanced, and students easily find internship programmes during their studies and employment after graduation. The career prospects for graduates of this programme are wide-ranging and include financial advisor, financial manager, chief financial officer, chief risk officer, bank specialist, real-estate appraiser, and financial analyst.
