Offered entirely in English since 2007, ISiP is an elite 3-year bachelor’s degree programme designed for students seeking to understand the intellectual foundations of Western civilization and acquire high-level thinking skills.

Academic Model and Traditions

The programme centers on the main traditions of European philosophy, with a particular focus on the world-renowned Lvov-Warsaw School and analytic philosophy.

• Ontology and Epistemology: Students gain the ability to understand the world and knowledge within a deeper and more general framework than that offered by natural sciences.
• Values and Sensitivity: Through ethics and aesthetics courses, a theoretical grasp of the realm of values, moral sensitivity, and civic responsibilities is developed.
• Logic and Thinking Skills: Courses in logic and logical semiotics—areas where Polish philosophy has had a global impact—teach critical thinking skills essential for both scientific and public life.

Broad Interdisciplinary Perspective

ISiP students explore the complexity of human existence and social structures through the following subjects:

• Philosophical Anthropology and Sociology: The relationships between lifestyles, dominant intellectual culture, and social objectives.
• Philosophy of Language: Tools for the formal analysis of natural languages and the structure of scientific theories.
• Specialized Areas: Interdisciplinary topics such as philosophy of mind, political and legal philosophy, and philosophy of action.
