The Environmental Protection (Restoration and Management of Environment) program offered by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering aims to provide students with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills related to environmental protection. The program focuses on both technical and ecological aspects of the environment, emphasizing the role of humans in shaping sustainable landscapes and ecosystems.
The program is divided into three semesters and includes lectures, seminars, lab work, and field research. Students will learn about a wide range of topics, including ecotoxicology, landscape planning, integrated water resources management and restoration, environmental policy, ecological infrastructure, soil biology, and more.
To be admitted to the program, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in environmental protection or a related field. Candidates who do not meet this requirement but have a degree in a field for which the effects of education are convergent with the learning outcomes expected of the candidates may still be eligible to apply, subject to completing additional coursework.
After completing the program, graduates will be well-prepared for careers in environmental planning and analysis, natural resources conservation and management, environmental engineering, environmental education, and more. Potential employers include governmental organizations, environmental agencies and NGOs, environmental consulting firms, and schools and universities. The program also offers opportunities for research and teaching positions.
The program is three semesters long, and graduates receive a Master's Degree and 90 ECTS credits upon completion.
