The Environment Protection Engineering master’s program is designed for students who want to specialize in environmental protection technologies, sustainable development, and modern engineering solutions aimed at reducing the negative impact of human activity on the environment. The program is intended mainly for graduates of environmental, civil, mechanical, and chemical engineering fields who wish to continue their education at an advanced level.
The program lasts four semesters and combines scientific research with practical engineering education. Students gain advanced knowledge in environmental engineering, computational methods, scientific programming, environmental chemistry, fluid mechanics, data analysis, and environmental management.
During the studies, students learn about environmental protection management, surface and groundwater protection, soil diagnostics, environmental monitoring systems, climatology, climate change, and municipal waste treatment technologies. The curriculum also includes modern topics such as remote sensing, ecological technologies, irrigation and drainage systems, land reclamation, and energy systems modelling and optimization.
The program strongly focuses on practical and research-oriented learning. In the third and fourth semesters, students work on a master’s thesis and final engineering project that demonstrate their scientific, analytical, and technical competencies in solving environmental problems.
Graduates gain the ability to conduct environmental impact assessments, design and supervise environmental protection systems, manage monitoring networks, and support public institutions and companies in sustainable decision-making processes.
After graduation, students can work as consulting engineers, environmental protection specialists, environmental monitoring experts, waste management engineers, sustainability consultants, or researchers in environmental institutions, engineering companies, industrial enterprises, and public administration units responsible for environmental policy and protection.
