This program usually takes three years to complete and is offered in a full-time mode, with classes scheduled from Monday to Friday.
The program is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the English language, its literature, and its cultural expressions, while also developing their proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) language and culture. Students will develop their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in both languages, as well as critical thinking and analytical skills that will enable them to analyze and interpret texts in their respective fields.
Some of the core courses that students will study in this program include English literature, English grammar, linguistics, Chinese language and culture, Chinese literature, and Chinese history. Students may also have the opportunity to take elective courses that explore specific topics in greater depth, such as creative writing, translation, or comparative literature.
Upon completion of the program, graduates can pursue a variety of careers that require proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), such as translation, interpretation, teaching, tourism, international business, and diplomacy.
