Students who are passionate about the English language and its applications can choose from two exciting elective streams at our university: English Studies with Translation (requiring a Polish proficiency level of C2) or English Studies with TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language - requiring a Polish proficiency level of B2).
The programme is structured into three modules, each designed to equip students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge that can be applied in a variety of fields.
Module 1, the Basics module, consists of compulsory courses in literature, culture, linguistics, and practical English. This module provides students with a strong foundation in the English language and its cultural contexts.
Module 2, the Application module, offers professional training in either translation (Polish > English, English > Polish) or teaching English as a foreign language. This module allows students to specialize in an area of their choosing and provides them with practical skills and knowledge that can be applied in real-world scenarios.
Finally, Module 3, the Academic Development module, allows students to choose their diploma seminar and a range of related elective courses in linguistics, literature, or culture. This module offers students the opportunity to develop their critical thinking, analytical skills, and research capabilities, thereby preparing them for a wide range of careers in the fields of education, communication, and media.
At our university, we offer a dynamic and challenging programme that prepares students for success in a globalized world. Our graduates are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue careers in various fields, including translation, education, media, and communications.
