Gdańsk University of Technology – English & Academic Preparation Course

The preparation course offered by Gdańsk University of Technology is designed to prepare international students for undergraduate and master’s degree programs taught in English. The main objective is to enable students to understand lectures, use technical literature, and communicate fluently in both academic and everyday contexts, ensuring a smooth transition into higher education in engineering and business fields.

The program consists of four modules: general and academic English (240 hours), English for engineering and business (120 hours), Polish language at A1 level (120 hours), and intercultural communication and Polish culture (60 hours). The total duration is 540 hours, delivered on-site, and participants receive a certificate upon completion. Admission requires at least B1 English proficiency (certified or verified via placement test) and either no knowledge of Polish or only basic-level proficiency.
