The MSc in Economics is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the micro- and macroeconomic phenomena and problems. The program equips students with the skills necessary for economic analysis and decision-making processes. The curriculum includes both economic and non-economic subjects relevant to comprehending economic issues. Students learn economic theory, the practice of economic life, and analytical methods used in economic research. Graduates of the program will possess knowledge and competencies that prepare them for a wide range of job opportunities across various institutions and areas of social life.
The second-cycle program offers three specialties:
• Circular Economy – this specialization focuses on acquiring knowledge and skills related to sustainable development and prepares students for work in environmental organizations.
• Advanced Economic Analysis – this specialty equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for conducting research and selecting appropriate tools for analyzing markets.
• International Business – this specialization provides advanced knowledge and skills in international business, emphasizing the international aspects of economics relevant to today's global business world. The program helps students develop cultural sensitivity and a critical understanding of the challenges of working and managing internationally.
Graduates of the program can take up employment opportunities as specialists in industrial, commercial, and service enterprises, as well as in public administration (central and local). They can also work as specialists in economic and management matters, financial and investment advisors, business analysts, sales and marketing specialists, economists, and in non-profit organizations. Additionally, graduates are prepared to run a business independently.
