Master of Science in Economic Analytics (M.Sc.) - Gdańsk University of Technology

The Master of Science in Economic Analytics programme, offered by the Faculty of Management and Economics at Gdańsk University of Technology, is an advanced postgraduate degree designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and expert skills in the fields of economics and modern data analytics. Taught entirely in English, this second-cycle programme spans 2 years (4 semesters). Each semester consists of 30 ECTS points, bringing the total curriculum requirement to 120 ECTS points. The programme officially commences each academic year in the winter semester.

The curriculum is tailored to equip students with foundational and advanced expertise in economics, big data analysis, statistics, and econometrics-based modeling. In the era of big data, this course focuses heavily on developing essential capacities such as accurately formulating complex research problems, gathering and cleaning multi-source data streams, selecting the appropriate analytical methodologies for problem-solving, and interpreting analytical results precisely. Alongside pure technical indicators, students also develop strong teamwork and professional collaboration skills to seamlessly adapt to modern corporate environments.

Specialization Tracks Students can choose to specialize in one of two distinct areas based on their career trajectories:

1. Global Studies: Focuses on providing students with a comprehensive, macroeconomic understanding of the global economic environment, international relations, and transnational trade dynamics.
2. Data Analyst: Exposes students directly to modern, high-level advanced analytical methods, predictive programming, and statistics applied across various corporate domains.

Admission & Entry Requirements The programme is open to candidates holding a bachelor's degree in any of the following or related fields: Economic analytics, economics, informatics and econometrics, management, accounting and finance, banking, international economics, economic relations, other technical and natural sciences, humanities, or other social sciences.
