Civil Engineering

The Master’s degree programme in Civil Engineering at Poznan University of Technology is a comprehensive second-cycle programme designed for students who want to develop modern engineering solutions, gain advanced knowledge in structural design and specialize in the construction sector. The programme is offered by the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering. It is a full-time programme taught in English and lasts 3 semesters. Graduates receive a Master of Science degree.

The Civil Engineering master’s programme helps students develop theoretical and practical knowledge in the design of concrete, steel and timber structures. The programme focuses on advanced skills in structural analysis, design, construction management and engineering implementation. Students learn about modern construction technologies, methods of organization and management in civil engineering, structural safety and sustainable engineering approaches.

During their studies, students gain knowledge in advanced structural analysis techniques, structural design, construction management, building information modelling, universal design, modern construction technologies, project management and decision-making processes in engineering. The study process prepares students to solve complex structural problems, take technical and managerial responsibility in engineering projects and evaluate different structural systems in a comprehensive way.

The programme offers specializations in Construction Engineering and Management and Structural Engineering. These specializations allow students to develop expertise according to their career goals, including structural design, construction site and project management, infrastructure development, research and technical consulting.

This programme is suitable for candidates with a background in civil engineering or related technical fields who want to specialize in structural design, structural analysis, project management and modern construction technologies.
