Aquamatics – Interdisciplinary Water Environment Management (MSc) at the University of Silesia in Katowice is a modern interdisciplinary master’s degree program designed for students who want to develop professional knowledge in sustainable water environment management, environmental sciences, and integrated water systems. The program is conducted entirely in English over four semesters and offers the possibility of obtaining a double diploma from the University of Silesia and Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas.
The program combines environmental sciences, hydrology, aquatic ecology, civil engineering, and environmental engineering to provide students with comprehensive knowledge about modern water management systems and sustainable environmental protection. Students gain an international perspective through English-language education and the opportunity to spend one semester studying at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas.
The curriculum focuses on interdisciplinary learning and practical experience through fieldwork, laboratory analysis, research projects, and cooperation with industry and public institutions. Students develop practical skills in water resource management, ecological assessment, environmental monitoring, sustainability strategies, and scientific research while working on real environmental challenges related to climate change, water scarcity, pollution, and biodiversity protection.
Graduates can pursue careers in environmental institutions, water management organizations, research centers, environmental consulting companies, public administration, and international environmental projects. The program also prepares students for doctoral studies and scientific careers by offering opportunities to participate in ongoing research activities and interdisciplinary environmental projects in Katowice and Kaunas.
