The Master’s degree programme in Information Technology for Smart and Sustainable Mobility at Poznan University of Technology is an interdisciplinary second-cycle programme designed for students who want to specialize in smart transport systems, sustainable mobility, data engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and transport technologies. The programme is offered by the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering. It is a full-time programme taught in English and lasts 4 semesters. Graduates receive a Master of Science degree.
The programme combines mobility issues, including sustainable transport and the management and organization of transport systems, with the development of IT tools supporting smart transport systems and smart cities. Students learn how to develop technology-based solutions for transport, environmental, data management and digital transformation challenges faced by modern cities.
During the programme, students acquire skills in data engineering, analysis and modelling of transport data, the use of AI algorithms for mobility forecasting, design and implementation of smart transport systems, systems supporting traffic and mobility management in cities, data security in transport networks, cybersecurity and data protection.
The curriculum also covers sustainable mobility. Students learn how to assess the environmental impact of new technologies, implement low-emission transport strategies and develop sustainable mobility solutions for smart cities. They also gain competences in programming and system integration, including the creation of applications supporting public transport, car-sharing, Mobility as a Service and logistics.
This field of study responds to the growing needs of the job market in smart mobility. Urbanization, climate change and smart city development require specialists who combine computing, data analysis and transport engineering in order to implement sustainable solutions. The programme prepares students to approach these challenges with both technical knowledge and strategic understanding.

International opportunities may also be available through EUNICE partners in France and Spain.
