Poznań University of Technology (PUT) grew out of the State School of Mechanical Engineering which was established in 1919. Currently, with its 20 000 students and more than 1 000 academic staff, it is one of the leading technical universities in Poland. It has become one of the most recognized landmarks of the Wielkopolska region, where industry perfectly combine with education and culture.
Ten faculties offer study programmes conducted both in Polish and English in 25 fields: from architectural artistic values to nano-technologies. An up-to-date, two-cycle education system, in accordance with the Bologna Process, allows students to freely choose their education pathway. The degree programmes in English and an interesting choice of postgraduate courses completes the extensive range of academic subjects.
